The author, for many years an entrepreneurin the communications field, wasborn in Bogota, Colombia in 1944.Lawyer and Economist from UniversidadJaveriana in Bogota, has a MasterDegree in Economic Developmentfrom the University of Wisconsin ?Milwaukee, and master studies inLiterature from Universidad Javeriana.He also obtained a Masters in Writingfrom Universidad Nacional in Colombia,in 2010.For over twenty years, has been aprofessor of the Rosario and Javerianauniversities, in economic and socialsubjects. Now he has immersed himselfin the literature. Being a customarytraveler by necessity and passion, helinks these varied and enriching experiencesinto his literary work.He has published two books of shortstories: ?The Pygmalion Statue? and?Walking towards the end of the Earth?.?The Diamond Mermaid? is his firstnovel. He is working now in othernovels, stories and essays that arecoming out in the next months.He is convinced that the function ofliterature goes beyond plain amusement,that´s why he involves the deepestaspects of the human psyche andthe society where they operate. He usesthem constantly taking into considerationwider objectives.
